New Workshop Cancellation Policy for workshops.

Since we contract with speakers months in advance, we are committed to paying for their workshops; therefore, we will refund your class fee only if you cancel 30 or more days in advance.  We will not return any class fees less than 30 days before the workshop, but will allow you to have someone take your place at the workshop.

David Taylor

 

There are two space left in the class. This class is for quilters who have mastered their own appliqué technique.  David will demonstrate how to adapt a photograph or drawing into a quilted wall hanging, using hand and machine piecing, appliqué and quilting techniques.  Students should not expect to have a finished piece at the end of the class.  Detailed art quilts can take months to produce.  Students are encouraged to bring multiple designs to choose from and may contact David in advance to discuss choices.  Please visit www.davidtaylorquilts.com.

Joan Sowada Values - Another Tool

Participants will do a few practice exercises that hone in on the use of value. They will also use fused fabrics to create a small quilt top of a pictorial image. Some people will finish a sample quilt. Joan Sowada will supply all fabrics and images needed for the class, however participants are encouraged to bring fabrics of their own choosing in a full range of values (example: white, light gray, medium gray, dark gray and black), and can also bring photos for consideration as suitable art quilt images. If you choose to bring your own image, it should be enlarged to at least 8”x12.”.You can check values by printing it in black and white as well as in color.
